Single Module & Residential Events:

General Code of Practice

The core values of this workshop training are integrity, inclusion and respect. Participants are expected to maintain these values when working with each other, with the trainer/s, and the staff. The course requires the participant to have substantial psychological, spiritual and professional maturity.

Suitability for the Course

Participants are required, before the workshop training begins, to inform the Centre of any physical or mental health issues that may affect their participation in the training in any way. This includes present conditions, but any psychosis, depression, schizophrenia or any other mental illness in the (recent) past. The need for medication for these issues should also be disclosed.

Anti-discrimination

Participants must consider and address their own prejudices to ensure that an anti-discriminatory approach is integral to their work with fellow students, trainers and staff.

Confidentiality

Participants must not reveal confidential information concerning fellow participants without the permission of the person concerned, except when legally required to break confidentiality, or to prevent serious harm to another or themselves.

Support

As the Centre’s remit is specifically training and education, and not explicitly personal development, it is understood that if personal issues arise, participants are responsible for ensuring that their emotional and psychological needs are met outside the training circle.

Suspension

A participant may be asked to leave the workshop training at the discretion of the Centre. Activities that may lead to suspension include violent or abusive behaviour; being under the influence of drugs or alcohol; inappropriate or bulling behaviour; an inability to control personal behaviour; or when the participant’s continuing presence in the group affects, in an unacceptable way, the quality of the learning experience of the rest of the group.

Payment Terms

For all one module trainings and events

  1. A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place at the event.
  2. Remainder of the fees are to be paid one month before the course begins.
  3. As the Centre is a Not-For-Profit organisation no VAT is charged.

Cancellation Policy

  1. The deposit is non-refundable, whatever the reason for cancellation.
  2. Any merchant account fees payable by CSC that cannot be reclaimed in the event of a cancellation will not be refunded by CSC.
  3. Cancellations made up to one month before the start of the event will forfeit the non-refundable deposit but all other payments will be refunded.
  4. Cancellations made less than one month before the start of the event, the full fee will be retained by the Centre, whatever the reason for cancellation.

If the Centre decides to cancel an event, workshop or training (or part thereof), all fees paid to the Centre (or an exact proportion of the full fee which reflects the days/times cancelled), will be refunded to the participant. However, the Centre will NOT be responsible for reimbursing any other costs incurred – such as travel or accommodation. These will remain the responsibility of the participant.

Force Majeure

If the Centre is forced to cancel an event, workshop or training (of part thereof) due to unforeseen circumstances that are beyond our control, we will not be able to offer any refund, in full or in part. Circumstances such as these would include industrial strikes, lock-outs, fire, flood, war, civil unrest, notifiable diseases as per UK government guidelines, adverse weather, issues at the host venue that endanger human health and acts of God. In these circumstances, we would make every effort to reschedule the event, workshop or training (or part thereof).

Deferment

Once a student accepts a place on one of our trainings and commits to joining the training, we cannot offer to defer their place for a future training. This is due to potentially not being able to recruit a replacement to maintain adequate numbers on our trainings.

Multi Module TRAINING EVENTS:

General Code of Practice

The core values of this training are integrity, inclusion and respect. Students are expected to maintain these values when working with each other, with the trainers, the staff, and their own clients. The course requires the student to have substantial psychological, spiritual and professional maturity.

If a student becomes aware of any unethical behaviour on the part of another student or staff member, they must first bring the matter directly to the attention of the person concerned. If this does not resolve the situation, they are expected to take the matter directly to their tutor

If the issue is with a tutor, then the student should contact the Centre Business Manager, amelia@thecsc.net, who will direct you to the appropriate company director.

Suitability for the Course

Each student is required, before the training begins, to inform the tutors of any physical or mental health issues that may affect their participation in the training in any way. This includes present conditions, and any psychosis, depression, schizophrenia or other mental illness that have occurred in the past. The need for medication for these issues should also be disclosed.

Anti-discrimination

Students must consider and address their own prejudices to ensure that an anti-discriminatory approach is integral to their work with fellow students, staff and their clients.

Confidentiality

Students must clarify the limits of confidentiality within the training process at the beginning of the training programme. Students must not reveal confidential information concerning fellow students without the permission of the person concerned, except when legally required to break confidentiality, or to prevent serious harm to another or themselves.

Boundaries

To support the learning journey of the course, students must maintain and establish appropriate boundaries between themselves, their trainers and other staff members. Students should exercise caution in forming sexual relationships with other students whilst on the course and be aware that in forming intimate relationships the dynamics of any group will be affected. In such cases, the tutor should be informed so that the situation can be held in a way that does not negatively affect the group.

Support

As the Centre’s remit is specifically training and education, and not explicitly personal development, it is understood that if personal issues arise, participants are responsible for ensuring that their emotional and psychological needs are met outside of the training circle.

If suicidal thoughts are expressed please note that we have a duty of care to inform your GP or other appropriate authority.

Suspension

A student’s training may be terminated at the discretion of the Centre in the event of a serious breach of the Terms & Conditions, or for non-payment of fees. The circumstances of each case will be considered. Appeals against termination will be heard, but the decision to terminate a student’s training rests with the Centre. Activities that may lead to suspension include – violent or abusive behaviour; being under the influence of drugs or alcohol; inappropriate or bulling behaviour; an inability to control behaviour; or when the student’s continuing presence in the group affects, in an unacceptable way, the quality of the learning experience of the rest of the group.

Payment Terms

  1. Applications to join a modular course will be followed up with an interview, if you are not known to the Centre Faculty. On receipt of an offer of a place by email, a non-refundable deposit payment will be required, within two weeks, to secure the place.
  2. Payment of the deposit is regarded as a commitment to the student’s attendance for the full course and therefore a commitment to the full course fee.
  3. All remaining fees are due 30 days prior to the start of the first module of the course.
  4. If payment is received after the due date a £25 late payment fee will be charged.
  5. As the Centre is a Not-For-Profit organisation no VAT is charged.

Conditions for Paying by Instalments

This should be signed in ink, scanned and emailed to courses@thecsc.net within 7 days of receipt.
  2. Any late instalment payments will incur a charge of £25 for every month where the payment is not made in accordance with the terms agreed.
  3. Instalment Contracts are offered on a case-by-case basis.
  4. The Instalment Contract will typically offer 4 instalments, beginning immediately.
  5. Any payment plan will always end a minimum of 30 days prior the last module of the course.

Cancellation Policy

  1. Any cancellation made up to six weeks before the start of the first module of the course, will receive a full refund of all course fees paid to this point, except for the non-refundable deposit.
  2. Any merchant account fees payable by CSC that cannot be reclaimed in the event of a cancellation will not be refunded by CSC.
  3. For cancellations made less than six weeks before the start of the training the full fees will be required, as agreed, whatever the reasons for the cancellation.
